JUNIOR novice players from Burnley Judo Club were again participating in the latest round of the Lancashire League, the latest venue being at the Burnley club.
A total of eight players from the local club were in action, along with clubs from Kendal, Cornholme, Bacup and Wigan, to name but a few.
Catherine Henry performed well in her first-ever competition to come away with a bronze medal.
James Cowgill, James Mottershead and James Tillotson continue to show improvement in the sport, each attaining a silver medal.
Stacey Cummings and Keith Bryers found themselves again in very tough groups.
However, both youngsters fought extremely well to earn a silver medal apiece.
Luke Holden put in another impressive performance on the day to earn a creditable bronze medal.
Liam Demaine turned in his best judo display to date, winning not only a silver medal but also the accolade of player of the day for the Burnley club.
Each of the eight players who competed all came away from the event with a medal. This underlines the steady and consistent progress of the youngsters at the Burnley club, serving to emphasise the results of hard work and effort that is put in by the Burnley juniors.
Silver medallists were James Cowgill, James Tillotson, James Mottershead, Stacey Cummings, Keith Bryers and Liam Demaine.
Bronze medallists were Catherine Henry and Luke Holden.
