HERE we go again -- after going to the trouble of redeveloping Church Street in Blackburn, the use of the venue is an open-air French market with up to 20 stalls -- rent free to the French traders (LET, June 13).
This is another affront to Blackburn market traders who are finding it difficult enough to compete.
The council has no idea how to run a business. Everyone should be on a level playing field.
Our councillors should waken up. They have enough empty pitches on the market, without creating more.
