CORPORAL Ryan Ashworth is flying high after being awarded the title of Bury Air Training Corps.
As well as the prestigious accolade, Ryan was awarded a special trophy from the Ramsbottom branch of the Royal British Legion.
Chairman of the branch, Mr Eric Holdsworth said: "We have a traditional link with Bury ATC and have awarded this trophy, which we have recently had polished up, to the best cadet for many years."
This year's award coincides with the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Royal British Legion and the 50th of the ATC.
Ryan was presented with his trophy by Mr Albert Little, president of the Ramsbottom branch of the Royal British Legion.
