PEOPLE in Ramsbottom will be able to find out more about fostering during National Foster Care Fortnight.
A colourful travelling display, organised by Bury Metro's Family Placement Team, will be visiting local libraries, leisure and sports centre and other community buildings during the next two weeks.
Family placement team manager, Diana Powell, said: "Foster carers have a vital role to play in helping children to thrive and giving them the best possible start in life. There are many different types of fostering and we particularly need carers for older children and sibling groups.
"Even if people are working and they have limited time to offer there is still the opportunity to foster.
"In addition we need carers who are either away in residential schools or as part of a package of support ton prevent a young person needing to be looked after away from home on a full-time basis. We urge anyone interested to come forward amd find out more."
There will also be a new booklet entitled Fostering -- Your Step by Step Guide available on 0161 253 5457.
