THE year 2000 was amazing for actor Rahul Bose as he scored hits in Bollywood movie Thakshak and English language movie Split Wide Open.
Instead of taking up more acting offers, Rahul has turned his hand to directing. After a long time in limbo his debut as a director, Everybody Says I'm Fine, will hit the screens at the end of July.
Bose explains: "The film is set in a posh hairdressing salon in Bombay into which enter and exit the classic high-society stereotypes.
"Everybody walks in and says they are fine, but when the hairdresser cuts their hair, he can read their minds and through what he hears, we hear that none of them are fine.
"He then treats their pain with compassion helping them out without any of them ever suspecting he knows what lies behind the facade."
The film will also see Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt make her English language debut. As for Bose, his next release as an actor is Aparna Sen's arthouse movie Mr And Mrs Iyer.
