A BLACKBURN bacon fan is looking forward to a smashing time when he travels to London for a chance to become a millionaire.
Peter Snape, 52, became one 20 finalists in the Royal Crest Dutch Bacon contest after finding a winning ticket on a lucky packet.
He is already guaranteed a sightseeing weekend in Amsterdam and £1,000 from the bacon manufacturers but will get the chance to win £1million on Friday when each finalist gets a piggy bank to smash. One will contain the chance to win another 2,000 piggy banks and 30 seconds to smash as many as possible and find the one containing the cash prize.
Father-of three Peter, of Higher Croft, said: "We usually go away every year but missed our last holiday, so the trip to Holland has come at a good time.
"I'm looking forward to the sightseeing tour and hopefully we will go to the Van Gogh museum."
He said that the prospect of becoming a millionaire was very exciting.
