AFTER six months of rehearsals The Last Night of the World opens tonight (Thursday, June 20).
The show, which runs until Saturday, June 22, is made up of a series of excerpts from famous musicals, combined with a touch of drama, contemporary pop music and a sprinkling of comedy.
Performed by the 30-strong Millennium Theatre Group the show features local stars Jade Rendell, aged 9, and Stacey Harrison, aged 13 -- both winners of this year's Wigan Search for a Star talent contest.
Performances start at 7.30pm at Lowton Civic Hall. Tickets cost £5 and £4 concessionary, call Joyce on 01942 605960.
