LEIGH Miners Rangers U9s threw away a 12-0 lead as they went down 24-18 to neighbours Leigh East.
Rangers cruised through the first half but eased off after half time to allow East to score four converted tries.
Man of the match and best support player was Crowe with Marsden the most improved and Dutton the top tackler.
The U10s of Rangers and East produced a top class game.
East held a 6-0 interval lead but a half time talk from coach Terry Sutton did the trick as Rangers came out for the second half in a different frame of mind.
Good work from Pemberton set up a try for Kelly, goaled by Myers. Sarsfield powered his way over and Odgen improved for a 12-6 lead.
East drew level at 12-12 but right on full time Myers ran wide, kicked deep and won the race for the match-winning try.
Man of the match was Matthew Jones.
The U10s threw away their match against Ince St Williams, going down 16-12.
Rangers went close early through Sarsfield but Ince took the lead with a converted try. Leigh hit back immediately with a try from Ogden and the same player crossed again just before the break to give Rangers an 8-6 half time lead.
Sarsfield increased the lead but a dropped pass close to their own line brought a try for Ince. Two minutes from time Rangers made the same mistake and Ince grabbed the winner.
Four tries from Moore helped the U14s to a 36-36 win over Leigh East.
Rangers other tries came from Lord, Rennilson and Mort with Gallimore adding a couple of goals.
