AN apprentice from Darwen has scooped a top award for outstanding work.
Jonathan Kenyon, 20, was named Apprentice of the Year at the training 2000 Annual Motor Vehicle Awards.
The former Moorland High School pupil works at Lookers Vauxhall in Blackburn, and received a £50 voucher from Snap-On Tools.
He was also given £50 from Training 2000 and a shield and certificate from the Institute of the Motor Industry.
Jeff Cowburn, chief executive of Training 2000, said: "We are delighted to be able to award these apprentices for their hard work.
"They undergo a thorough training and education programme to become a motor vehicle apprentice, and they truly deserve these awards."
