A WOMAN had to be cut free from her car after it collided with a bus in Leigh at the weekend.
The accident happened just before 5pm on Saturday near the junction of Westleigh Lane and Corner Lane.
The woman was driving her Ford Mondeo towards Atherton and a single decker bus was driving in the opposite direction towards Hindley when the vehicles collided, leaving her trapped.
Police closed the road between Schofield Lane and Corner Lane for 45 minutes while firefighters cut the woman free. She was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
One bus passenger also went to hospital with a broken bone in her hand, the bus driver and 26 other passengers were treated for shock and some for bruising.
