A TEENAGE has cyclist died after being involved in an accident with a car in Boothstown.
The 14-year-old boy, who is from Boothstown, was crossing the East Lancashire Road on his bike when he was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Astra on the Manchester-bound carriageway at the junction with Chaddock Lane.
He died later at Hope Hospital in Salford.
The 18-year-old car driver, who is from Wigan, is not thought to have been injured.
