A MOTORIST had a knife held to his throat before he was robbed of £3,200 worth of jewellery.
The softly-spoken robber pounced at 2.10am on Saturday (June 15) as the 30-year-old victim was sitting in his car in Clifton Road, Prestwich.
A man walked up to the car, leaned through the driver's open window and placed a knife against his throat.
The victim was forced to hand over a gold chain, a bracelet and two rings before the offender fled.
The thief is described as black, 5ft 10in tall, aged in his mid 20s and he spoke with a timid voice. He was wearing a black quilted jacket and dark trousers.
Police have launched an appeal for witnesses to the robbery and would like anyone with information about the incident to contact Whitefield CID on 0161 856 8248 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
