PLAYING in front of nearly 30,000 people - wow that's going to be so cool," said Annemie Coenen, the stunning blonde with the equally stunning voice.
Annemie is the face -- and vocals -- of Ian van Dahl, the dance act which has spent over six months in the UK Top 40 in the past year and which has proved that good things do indeed come out of Belgium!
Feel the Noise promises to be one of the biggest events yet for Annemie who, together with producers Christophe Chanzis and Erik Vanspauwen, make up Ian van Dahl.
"In my opinion British crowds are the best," said Annemie, who in the past 12 months has played at venues all over the world. "They are so ready to party, they are so trendy and so well-dressed -- they are just always up for it and I'm sure that will be the case at Feel the Noise."
From the moment Castles in the Sky received its first few plays on radio, a hit was born and the Ian van Dahl success story began.
Castles was the soundtrack to last summer for many, peaking at number three in the singles charts. The follow-up Will I went to number five and between them, the two tracks notched up sales of around 700,000.
Twenty-three-year-old Annemie promises that Ewood Park will be a date to remember.
"I always sing live," she said. "I don't want to let the fans down and I don't like miming. We will have some dancers on stage to give the show some visual impact and it allows me to concentrate on my singing.
"On stage it is great to see the fans singing along and with their hands up in the air."
Anyone who saw Annemie and co as part of last year's Smash Hits tour will know they are in for a treat.
"I had a fantastic time on the tour," said Annemie. "All the kids knew the words to Castles and were singing along so loudly in the chorus they practically drowned me out. I also met the other groups -- my favourite was Blue who are all such sweet, gorgeous guys." Feel the Noise comes just a couple of weeks after the release of Ian van Dahl's debut album ACE -- it takes its name from the band members' initials.
"All the lyrics are written from my personal experience," said Annemie. "That's why a lot of them are about love. The album's about me looking for Mr Right and not finding him - yet!"
But who and what is Ian van Dahl? Where does that name come from?
"Ian van Dahl is just a name," laughs Annemie. "He doesn't exist.
"In the beginning we put out a track which was played in the clubs and went under the name Ian van Dahl. It's one of those names in Belgium which can be given to a boy or a girl, like Leslie in England.
"Because the record (Castles in the Sky) was so popular we couldn't change the name and so that's it.
"It's quite handy because no-one can pronounce Annemie outside Belgium!
"It's also quite funny because everyone asks about it and often people are surprised when they see me because I think they are expecting some bloke to come on stage."
With Ian van Dahl's fame having spread so quickly in just 12 months, the Feel the Noise crowd certainly won't be surprised.
"We are going to have one big party on Sunday," said Annemie. "I can't wait.
