WHY was I not surprised to read that a child nearly drowned in the lodges at Red Bank?
I walk my dogs around there four times a day and often see children under 10 playing there without any supervision. A couple of weeks ago I warned two young girls about being in the water but all I got was abuse.
Where are the parents, and why don't they know what their children are doing? Young children should be kept in the garden to play.
Summer is here and every year we hear about drowning tragedies around the country. Let's make this summer a happy one.
