BLACKPOOL youngsters had a wicket time when cricket star Darren Gough came to town!
The England fast bowler visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Sunday with the Natwest cricket roadshow, giving children the chance to fast-bowl their way into trials for the national Natwest cricket speed challenge at Lord's on July 13.
An event spokeswoman said the roadshow, visiting ten venues across the UK in all, was also a chance for youngsters to try out cricket skills using bowling nets, reaction walls, virtual reality cricket and computer games. And they could watch cricket stars in action on a big screen.
She added: "There were lots of kids there asking Darren loads of questions and they absolutely loved it. It was a huge success."
