CALDERDALE Council has called for action to turf skateboard fans out of Todmorden bus station.
Coun Tony Martin argued that the authority should be urged to spend money on providing a skateboard area, which the youngsters had requested.
It was agreed that the police should be asked to attend the bus station on a regular basis.
Coun Clarence Brown said the amount of litter which accumulated in the bus station also needed a careful study. It was decided that a letter be sent to Metro, warning that checks were being carried out and action would be taken if the situation did not improve.
Coun Brown said he had attended the bus station the previous week and it was obvious the litter bins had not been emptied for a long time.
Assistant director of transport co-ordination Neil Holt said: "The contractors have been given specific targets to ensure the cleanliness of the bus station, especially after the main market day.
"A recent check on litter bins has identified no problems. However, the situation will be closely monitored."
