A PRISONER who did not do his community punishment has had two more months added to his term of detention.
Burnley Crown Court heard how Rocky Johnstone, 18, had earlier been given 60 hours after admitting threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour but had only done 19 and a half.
Johnstone, currently serving a six months detention and training order, was given two more months on top.
The defendant, of Water Street, Accrington, had admitted breaching the community punishment order.
Sentencing him, Judge Raymond Bennett said 60 hours was not hard to achieve but the defendant had not managed it. He added Johnstone had only himself to blame for being given a custodial sentence.
The court was told Johnstone was given the order after an early hours fracas in which he was seen to punch a man in the face.
When he was interviewed by police, Johnstone said he had been out with his girlfriend, the man had laughed at him and been abusive and he had punched him.
Charles Brown, defending, said Johnstone had done a third of the order and if he was at liberty, he would be asking that he be allowed to finish the work.
