IWONDER if any tenants on the Shadsworth and Whitebirk estates in Blackburn are pleased with the external works that have been carried out.
I was very happy in my nice quiet and warm home until March. Then we had double glazed windows installed, which are supposed to make it warmer and quieter.
But the reverse has happened -- it is noisier and draughtier. You can't enjoy the TV or radio because of the noise.
All this is because someone from the council decided we had to have vents on all the top windows, because a minority of tenants did not open their windows to stop condensation.
One or two would not have been too bad, but five in one room is ridiculous.
