YOUNGSTERS in red, white and blue and armed with Union Jacks enjoyed two parties rolled into one when their Darwen nursery staged a Golden Jubilee party and summer fair.

Staff from Les Enfants nursery in Avondale Road decided to bring their annual summer fair forward to June for one year only so they could celebrate the Queen's jubilee at the same time.

Youngsters enjoyed an egg and spoon race, bouncy castle and jubilee hat competition during the day.
