A QUESTION mark hangs over the career of a clergyman who has been jailed on firearms offences.
The Rev Michael Daggett has just begun a four month jail sentence after police found a pistol and ammunition when they visited his vicarage.
American Rev Daggett -- who was once curate at Tyldesley Parish Church and lived in Upper George Street in the town-- was sentenced this week after earlier being found guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.
Police found the Derringer and bullets in February when they visited the Vicar of Holy Rood's home in Moorside Road, Swinton.
Now Manchester diocese leaders are to consider his future.
