Leigh MR U10s V Ashton U10s
Rangers u10s will want to forget this one. Lifeless Leigh's tackling was pathetic and they spilled too many balls as Ashton ran in tries at will, three in each half.
After the break Rangers livened a little then faded as bad defensive work helped Ashton to a well deserved victory.
Leigh MR U8s V St Annes U8s
After last week's great home win against Oldham, Rangers u8s journeyed to Oldham and came away with a brilliant 54-24 win over St Anne's.
They got off to a good start when Caplis went charging down the middle to score and convert. Then Manfredi showed pace and power for a try he also converted. Caplis scored again but Oldham hit back with a converted try, only for Rangers to reply with a Caplis hat-trick.
Leigh MR U7s V Halton Hornets U7s
The Rangers babes played with plenty of spirit, good support work and solid defence bringing them a good win over Halton Hornets by seven tries to two.
The first-half was a close affair which the Rangers shaded 12-8. But after the interval the Leigh team dominated and scored some really good tries to dominate it. Grimes 3, Kearsley, Helme, Nicholson and Worden scored tries in a highly creditable performance.
