GOLFING talent wasn't the only thing needed to win the annual 'Sip it and Flip it' charity golf event at Mytton Fold.
The ability to hold your alcohol was also a key factor!
The event's bizarre format included players supping a glass of wine before each of the nine holes were played and some players were certainly a little tipsy by the end!
Club President Frank Hargreaves and his team proved best-equipped to play 'under the influence' - they won the event.
Around £300 was raised for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity and Lady Captain Sue Hughes, who organised the event, said it was a huge success.
"One or two were certainly tipsy toward the end!" she said.
"I have played in the past but I thought it best not to this year because I had to make a speech later on!
"I chose the Breakthrough charity because family members and friends have been touched by breast cancer.
"Women are still getting this disease and even though things are getting better there is still research to be done."
Sue thanked Tesco, who provided the wine, and Marks and Spencer, who supplied the first prize.
