DETECTIVES are hunting a firebug who caused more than £10,000 worth of damage in an arson attack on a Bury company.
A vehicle, steel container and a quantity of wood were engulfed by flames at the premises of North Manchester Joinery in Hulme Street.
Police said the arson attack, which happened at 3.30am on Friday (June 21), was targeted at a "Y"-registered Toyota pick-up vehicle. Damage is estimated at £8,500.
The intense heat and flames entered a small gap underneath a steel shipping container and set fire to the wood inside. Damage to the container and wood amounted to £2,100.
Two fire crews from Bury tackled the blaze and spent 45-minutes at the scene.
