A BIRTLE farmer is offering a reward for the return of his mother's beloved Alsatian cross dog which has gone missing.
Eight-year-old Sabre disappeared from Riddings Farm on June 17 and hasn't been seen since.
Although he has been known to roam from the farm on a number of previous occasions, Sabre usually returns home the same day.
But the fact he has been missing for several days has worried Mr David Wilkinson who shares the farm with his elderly mother, Irene.
He said: "My mum is in her 80s and Sabre is her dog and is very good company for her. We've had Sabre since he was a puppy and my mum is fretting following the dog's disappearance.
"Sabre has a collar on with his details. But it's strange that if anyone has found him that they haven't let us know. I'm willing to offer a reward to anyone who finds him."
Mr Wilkinson has printed 150 posters with Sabre's photograph and details and is putting them up at points throughout the Birtle and Bury area.
Anyone who can help Mr Wilkinson to be re-united with the dog should contact 764 3809.
