A TEENAGER stopped by police in a garden in the early hours told officers they should be going out and arresting burglars.

Burnley Magistrates heard how Matthew Southern, 19, was with another man when police told them they were going to search them. Southern swore and accused the officers of harassing people minding their own business.

Southern, of Florence Street, Burnley, who has no criminal convictions, admitted breaching the peace and was bound over in the sum of £50, for 12 months.
