A MAJOR seminar aimed at outlining how Bury businesses can keep their customers satisfied will be staged in the town next week.

Hollins-based accountants and business advisers DTE are holding the second in a series of BizVision events at the Bolholt Country Park Hotel next Thursday (July 4) between 9am and 12.15pm.

The Ten Steps to Greater customer service show will be presented by Malcolm Gallagher of BizVision, one of the UK's leading marketing seminar speakers. The event will show video clips from the new BBC BizVision training programmes.

The intention is to help local companies develop a customer care action plan that will keep clients and gain new business.

Richard Taylor of DTE said: "As business advisers, we're continuously helping focus clients on costs and profitability.

"Quality customer service is one of the most effective ways companies can beat their competition and achieve their profit objectives and that's why we're delighted to be hosting this important show," he continued.

Mr Taylor said the seminar was part of a nationwide tour which will result in more than 1,000 businesses seeing the show.

Ten Steps to Greater Customer Service is a half-day seminar for small and medium sized businesses and those Bury firms wishing details of tickets, priced at £49, should call Brenda Horrocks at DTE on (0161) 767 1200.
