I HAVE been a Bury fan for seven years and I can't tell you how sad I was when I heard that Bury FC had changed its badge.
My great-great-great uncle Leslie Vernon played for the Shakers in the 1930s and although I have never met him my grand-dad and dad are always telling me stories that he told them about when he played for Bury and how proud he was to wear the white shirt.
People may think it is good to change but I think that they don't understand that even young fans like me are proud of Bury's past. There are lots of people like me who have memories of the Shakers that have been passed on to them by their family. I think that the Bury club badge should not be changed . . . ever.
