AFTER being a supporter for more than 40 years, I drifted away from Bury FC after our relegation from Division One. Frankly, I had had enough of the rhetoric and depressing news repeatedly delivered by Mr Robinson and Mr Neville.
When the club went into administration I returned as I believed that, as soon as the club emerged from this crisis, we would be able to have a fresh start with a new regime. However, what I did not anticipate was the re-emergence of Mr Neville to fight off any new investor and keep the power as I see it with his "old pals".
I would rather have seen any one of the five "interested parties" given a chance to run the club because I believe the Shakers have been crying out for somebody new to have a go.
Why Fred Mason and John Smith are still in charge is beyond me. If Mr Smith can't take the club forward he should resign now. They must give one of the other five "interested parties" a go, or yet again they will drive away people like me wanting to watch the team I love.
