A BABYSITTER in charge of five children called out the fire brigade after water started dripping from a living room light fitting.
The incident occurred at a house in Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors at 11.15pm yesterday.
John Pinner, station officer at Accrington Fire Station, said the babysitter had done the right thing by alerting the emergency services.
"Water from an overflowing bath had seeped into a living room light socket, causing it to spark and smoulder. We sorted the situation out by removing the fuse, but the babysitter did the right thing by alerting emergency services. If in doubt, call us out!"
