BROWNIES from Stand Church added a special souvenir of Manchester's summer sporting spectacular to their badge collection.
Girls from the 5th Whitefield Brownies took part in the Commonwealth Games Challenge, a project dreamt up by their own Tawny Owl, Mrs Linda Fogg.

To gain the badge, members of the pack visited the Manchester Aquatic Centre, held a sports evening, made mascots and collages and learned about the different cultures of the Commonwealth.
They were joined by 27,000 other Brownies and Guides from across the North West, who also rose to Mrs Fogg's challenge. She said: "The girls have learnt a lot about different countries, cultures and sports. "It is nice to take advantage of something like this which is a bit special. It is not often that you host the Commonwealth Games."
