MORE than 150 Mothers' Union members attended their annual Deanery Festival in St Gabriel's Church, Brownhill, Blackburn, when banners from 11 branches were paraded.
Long service awards were presented to three ladies for 50 years' service and 11 ladies for 40 years by Deanery President Mrs Brenda Entwistle.
The preacher was Canon Chris Rich, Director of Social Responsibility, and the service was led by the curate of St Gabriel's, Rev Paul Sweeting.
The Mayoress of Blackburn with Darwen Council, Mrs Jacqueline Humphrys, attended the festival service, which was followed by refreshments in the church hall.
