POLICE discovered a cannabis farm with up to 100 plants in a house in Brierfield while carrying out raids over the weekend.
Eight people were arrested by police who were executing warrants on homes in the Nelson and Brierfield area on Friday, Saturday and yesterday.
Police seized a quantity of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis from a number of properties as well as the cannabis plants which were being cultivated.
Two people, a 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman both from Nelson, were both due to appear before Burnley Magistrates today charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug.
A further six people have been released on police bail pending further forensic examination.
Inspector Chris Bithell said: "We were acting on information received from the public and I would like to thank them for their help."
