FOOD lovers enjoyed a movable feast aboard the East Lancashire Railway's Irwell Express Diner Train and all in a good cause.
A meal organised by the Rotary Club of Bury packed the train with diners and raised an estimated £1,300 for the Hope and Homes for Children charity.
The organisation, which helps provide loving homes for children in war zones, was represented by members of its Cheshire Support Group, John and Linda Oakes.
Entertaining diners along the route to Rawtenstall were the Whitworth and Healey Brass Band, and a magician.
Mr Nigel Danby, chairman of the Rotary club's international committee, said: "For one evening's effort, it was very good and everyone who supported us said it was a marvellous idea."
"It was a first for the Rotary club and a tremendous success. It would be wonderful to do it again."
