THERE'S a new toy story with a difference for youngsters living in Bury.
The Chesham Children and Family Centre, in Chesham Road, has officially opened its toy library.
While the service Bury will particularly benefit families in Moorside and East wards, it will operate across the borough.
The centre's Lisa Porter said: "The library will be open following all our regular sessions such as positive parenting courses, or our drop-in play and coffee sessions. Alternatively, appointments can be made by phoning myself or Sharon Haigh on 253 6585.
"A small charge of 50p per toy for two weeks is levied. We are also hoping to include training sessions on play, story telling, art and much more."
Funding for the library has come from Bury's early years development and childcare partnership, the European Social Fund and the amenity fund held by the former Castlecroft Day Nursery.
Councillor John Costello, early years spokesman, said: "This library will be another much welcomed addition to children's play provision in the borough. I am certain it will become very popular with parents and carers."
