A BIRTHDAY night out ended in the cells after for a 22-year-old man had too much to drink, a court was told.
Burnley Magistrates heard how mechanic Lee Davis pushed a young man so hard he almost fell into a shop window.
Davis, of Carter Avenue, Hapton, admitted threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and was given a 12 months conditional discharge, with £65 costs.
Tom Snape, prosecuting, said that in the early hours a police officer saw doormen throw the defendant out of the Works nightclub.
He was in a rage, seemed to be suffering from the effects of drink and was told to calm down. He seemed to do so and the bouncers released their grip.
Davis then went back towards the doormen and the officer shouted to him to back away and move on.
He went towards the Chicago Rock nightclub and was pushed away after going towards a bouncer in a threatening manner.
Mr Snape said Davis was told he should leave the area but went towards a number of cars in an aggressive manner. He was told a third time to move on and ended up pushing a young man so hard he almost fell into a shop window.
Geoff Ireland, defending, said the offence was out of character. David had been celebrating his birthday, had been out all evening and was the first to accept he had far too much to drink.
