A TEENAGER from Barnoldswick underwent nine-and-a-half hours of surgery to repair nerves and tendons in his wrist and slash wounds to his face, chest and leg.
Lee Myers' mother Julia today renewed her appeal for information.
Lee, 18, of Blakeley Crescent, had been out with friends on Friday and was walking home at about midnight when there was a row in a ginnel off Lower North Avenue.
The offender used a knife to slash Lee seven times and also slash one of his friends four times in the face and his other two pals jeans were cut. He is now in the Royal Preston Hospital where he has had specialist surgery to his wounds.
Julia said: "I would feel a lot better if I knew whoever did this had been caught and was not still out there capable of injuring someone else. He has got to be stopped."
Lee, who works for Rose County Foods in Gisburn, has a brother Scott, 15, and sister Zoe, 17, who are both devastated.
The police have still not recovered a weapon and anyone who knows the identity of the attacker or witnessed the incident is asked to contact 01282 425001 and ask for CID.
