COUNTY councillors are being advised to visit the site of a proposal animal waste incinerator before deciding whether it should be allowed to go ahead.
A report on the proposed development at the former Hapton Valley Colliery was today being presented to Lancashire County Council's development control committee.
Because it is a application of strategic significance, the county council will decide its fate.
But the report recommends the councillors visit the site off Accrington Road and then make a decision at a future meeting.
