POLICE have issued crime prevention advice to mobile phone owners after a man had his snatched from a belt clip.
The 33-year-old was walking his dog between Henry Street and Countess Street, Accrington, when a man on a bicycle snatched the telephone. Detective Inspector Peter Broome of Accrington CID said: "While it is commonplace to have mobile telephones clipped to clothing, it is sensible carry the telephone in a pocket.
"It is not then visible and less easy to snatch.
"It is sensible crime prevention to treat a mobile telephone as you would your wallet and keep it out of sight."
The man had his phone snatched between 11.15am and 11.30am on Tuesday by a white man in a yellow fleece wearing a grey baseball cap and riding a black bicycle.
