DEFENDER Paul Heckingbottom, who Burnley were said to be keeping an eye on, has signed for Norwich on a free transfer from Darlington.
The 24-year-old left-sided player began his career at Sunderland and had loan spells with Scarborough and Hartlepool before joining the Quakers in February 1999.
Another player linked with a move to Turf Moor, Walsall winger Darren Wrack, has signed a one-year contract to stay at the club despite being available on a free, while Manchester City's Richard Edghill, also linked with the Clarets and Preston, is set to sign for Charlton.
