POLICE believe a man who exposed himself to a student on the university cycle path is also behind two recent indecent assaults in the same area.
The man walked up behind the 22-year-old local woman and, walking past her, shouted indecent comments and exposed himself.
The distressed victim made off towards Hala while the man headed towards the university.
The incident took place at 3.50pm on Sunday.
The man is described as white, 5ft 5in tall, of average build with closely shaven hair, aged 30-40, clean shaven with a round face.
He wore white trainers, green, lightweight, army style trousers with pockets on both legs and a blue canvas jacket to his waist.
He spoke with a local accent.
Det Sgt Mark Salisbury of Lancaster police said: " There are similarities between the types of offences, the area and the description is similar."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Lancaster police on 01524 63333.
