A LAND Rover Discovery ploughed into a garden wall after sliding off a slippy road in Leigh.
The vehicle was travelling along Wigan Road towards Hindley just after 7am on Tuesday, when it skidded on the wet surface on a bend opposite Marsh Playing Fields.
The vehicle skidded across the road, hitting an on-coming van, before spinning and ploughing into the wall.
The front of the Land Rover was damaged and part of the wall was knocked down, but no-one was injured.
Insp Andy Eckersley, of Leigh traffic police, said: "Because we've had a dry spell in the weather, the sudden downpour made the road surface very slippy and dangerous."
