A GOLBORNE company is playing a part in helping food production in the developing world.
The Phropines Group, which has engineering facilities in the village, is hoping to expand its trading base after exhibiting at the Royal Show last week.
The group provides products and services for both developing and developed markets and hopes to help improve production as part of the Global Partnership Initiative.
This organisation's aim is to promote business opportunities for the UK's leading-edge agricultural companies, while helping increase global food production through joint ventures.
The Northwich-based Phropines Group's primary interests lie in oil seed processing, packaging and effluent treatment.
Besides companies based at Oakmere, the group includes JLJ Engineering and JLJ Effluent Engineering at Golborne.
