A FUN-packed day with a serious message awaits visitors to Leigh town centre on Saturday.
Wigan Council and Greater Manchester Police have teamed up to organise a community safety awareness event where residents can find out what is being done, and what they can do themselves, to make Leigh a safer place to live.

There will also be free mobile phone marking, bicycle stamping, free refreshments and a raffle.
For children, there will be an under-fives soft-play area, free balloons and face painting, and the chance to meet Welephant.
Special guests on the day include Leigh Centurions stars, MP Andy Burnham and the Mayor of Wigan, Cllr Geoff .
