THIS weekend, the gates are open at one of the area's most beautiful gardens.
Weeping Ash, the private garden of master horticulturist John Bent, will be open to the public in aid of the children's charity, NSPCC.
Situated adjacent to Bents Garden Centre, in Glazebury, Weeping Ash is a breathtaking garden which has been created by John Bent, brother of centre owner, Ron.
John has spent the past 11 years developing this remarkable garden which has been visited and photographed by gardening enthusiasts from all over the world.
John said: "As Weeping Ash has developed over the years, I have tried to hide each section of the garden from the next, which adds an element of surprise for the visitor. The garden combines curving lawns with a mix of rich foliage and flowers, combined with rare and exotic plants.
"I love opening the garden up to the public and sharing my vision with other enthusiasts. I hope to attract a lot of visitors this weekend and make a good contribution to the NSPCC."
Weeping Ash will be open between 1pm and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday admission £2 to be donated to the charity.
