FIVE hundred students have put the fruits of a year's labour on show at the Blackburn College Summer Exhibition.
They filled 14 rooms in the art and design centre with work which covered art and design, music and media.
Curriculum centre head Kath Brennand said: "Many people walk past our buildings and often do not realise the level of activity which is taking place and the standard of work the students achieve.
"The students leave Blackburn College to pursue degree courses and a range of careers in the many areas of creative arts, which is a major employment sector."
Exhibiting students come from courses ranging from GCE A-level Art to the National Diploma in Textiles and Fashion and Pre-Degree Foundation Media..
The summer show started last night in the art and design centre in St Paul's Street, and continues every weekday from 9am to 4pm until July 10.
