HERE'S a play not to be sneezed at! Fylde Coast Players present Noel Coward's Hay Fever at Lowther Pavilion, Lytham, until Saturday (July 6).
Hay Fever is a comedy of bad manners which starts with the arrival of four guests, invited independently by the ultra Bohemian Bliss family, for a weekend in their country house.
Guests are alternately ignored, embraced, embarrassed, humiliated and ultimately abandoned and the play contains classic examples of Coward wit.
The cast includes many NODA award winners such as Carole Jethwa as retired actress Judith Bliss, Ian Edmonson as her novelist husband David, Dawn Martyne as their daughter Sorel and Elaine Bennett as one of the unfortunate guests.
Hay Fever runs at Lowther Pavilion until Saturday at 7.30pm. Tickets at £5 are available from Lowther Cafe, St Annes and Lytham Tourist Information offices or by calling (01253) 737920.
