HIGH school pupils managed to keep their mouths shut for ten minutes and then shouted about raising a £859 for charity.
Pupils of Tottington High School's Year 7 were asked to support Macmillian Cancer Relief by taking part in a sponsored silence.
School spokesman, Joyce Kinsey, said: "Our Year 7s really pushed the boat out and raised a staggering amount.
"The student who raised the most money was Christopher McClure, who raised £88.50."
