HAMISH Stuart is in the Guinness Book of Records for playing the biggest ever staged concert in the world with Paul McCartney -- and now he's playing at Leyland's Worden Arts Centre again on Friday, July 12.
Hamish made his name as the falsetto voice in The Average White Band in the 1970s with their hit single 'Pick up the Pieces' making it to number one in America.
Originally from Scotland he moved across the water to settle in the States and found success. He penned songs for Chaka Khan such as the chart hit 'Watcha Gonna Do For Me' and has toured with soul stars Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin and George Benson.
His musical career has gone from strength to strength and in 1988 Hamish went on the road with Paul McCartney for six years and he performed on five of Sir Paul's albums.
Hamish Stuart's band features saxophonist Snake Davis, who has had sell-out shows at the Worden Arts Centre himself.
Tickets cost £11.75 or £13.50 on the door. To book call 01772 603030.
