TWO people were taken to Burnley General suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire in their kitchen at the house in Station Road, Huncoat at 2.40am today.
The fire was started by a fault in the washing machine.
Firefighters treated the two people for smoke inhalation at the scene before they went to hospital.
The washing machine was damaged and the kitchen had smoke damage.
