A TRANS-PENNINE sponsored walk will take to the towpaths of Burnley this weekend as part of a 127-mile charity trek.
The five day challenge is the first and longest of 22 Walk on Water events organised by British Waterways.
Events are taking part by canals and rivers across across the UK and includes Skipton to Burnley tomorrow, Burnley to Chorley on Friday, July 12, and Chorley to Burscough on Saturday July 13.
Members of the public who wanted to join fundraisers on the route are more than welcome.
The challenge aims to raise enough money to fund a new school for blind children in West Africa. For exact times and locations, call Cheryl Flynn on 07884 238635.
